Subsequent to the tragic events of 9/11/2001, Marvel Comics sponsored a benefit auction, January 17th 2002, which included original art from Marvel's Heroes tribute magazine. All proceeds, benefited the Twin Towers Fund, set up to help the victims of 9/11. The auction included pieces by Neal Adams, J. Scott Campbell, Richard Corben, Mike Deodato, Gene Ha, Sam Kieth, Adam Kubert, Joe Kubert, Jae Lee with Neil Gaiman, Jim Lee, Frank Miller, Dave Gibbons with Alan Moore, Tom Palmer, George Perez, Joe Quesada, Todd McFarlane, John Romita Sr. and Jr., Alex Ross, Steve Rude, Bill Sienkiewicz and Brian Stelfreeze. Offered here is the cover art to the HEROES tribute book by Alex Ross. A powerful, moving image, the art is rendered in mixed media and measures 18" x 12" and is in Near Mint condition.
