Walt Kelly is another master of the medium. Kelly had a long and successful career in the medium beginning with Walt Disney, moving into the classic Dell comic books in the early forties. Kelly's crowning jewel was the syndicated feature Pogo. Kelly's art is characterized by his remarkable ability to control his brush line, which effortlessly undulates indicating weight, shadow and light in an unbroken medley of character.

This outstanding fresh to the market, example from New year's day 1967 features all the main characters and expresses the fanciful philosophy that made the feature so ingenious.
